Having been stationary in Bristol for quite a while I came to the decision it was time to put my wheels on home to full use and relocate to Brighton for a bit, and what better time to go over then for Judi and The Doodlecats UV Party In Your Pants 1st Birthday!

Now the title of the event basically tells you what the night is all about, but it’s so much more than just a party in your pants. I arrived a little after 10, on my own and was greeted by instant smiles and friendly embraces. As a newcomer to the event I was talked through a few things, cloakroom was on the left, smoking area out the back (only 5 at a time), there was a bucket of shirts to cover up with to go down to the loo, bar and UV paint was on the right with the splatter wall round the corner. It was nice to be given this mini induction so speak, giving you your bearings and the friendly chat made me feel most welcome.

So that was me in! Easy peasy, I made my way to the cloakroom to start delayering, my outfit had many many layers. Starting my night off reasonably well covered in a bikini with a fishnet top & tights, big frilly pants and my all essential (in this case fluorescent) leg warmers. Dressed as I was it still was a minimal outfit to what I usually wear out, but it just felt right. There was a no perv rule on the night and from what I experienced that rule was instilled very well. It wasn’t about “getting your tits out” in that kind of way, it was a night to celebrate and love your body. I started decorating myself with the UV pens provided and grabbed myself a drink. Not really knowing anyone there I just floated about to begin with but it didn’t take long before introductions were made and I started making new friends.

The music was basey and uplifting with Gareth on the decks mixing fun sing-along classic with modern tracks, and big beefy beats. You couldn’t help but dance along, and while I generally like my music to have a bit more umph to it it was perfectly on point for the event, had it been a line up of filthy techno or something similar it could have changed the whole feeling into something much sleazier. As it was there was no sleazy feelings and as I started to settle into the night I deshedded another layer. I wasn’t the only one who felt extra comfortable there, general consensus when talking to people in the loo queue was that they wouldn’t normally be so underdressed but they just felt so normal being there, just like nature intended you to be with added colour!

I continued my night being covered in more and more paint as strangers took it in turns drawing on each other. Dancing non stop with new acquaintances made, it was really refreshing to be able to just dance, with no restrictions and enjoy myself without worrying about anyone trying anything on. You may find that surprising considering the cloting theme of the night but it’s true, there was no silly business from anyone. All silliness was is good spirit, like a giant UV KNex ball being attached to my head which was fun for a while and did make quite a fancy headpiece. A sea of shear fabric was spread across the dancefloor and everyone danced underneath it, waving it about like a giant parachute game.

3am started approaching, and as my tit tape started peeling back from all the dancing, feeling totally at ease with myself and everyone around me I decided it was time to free them titties completely and finish off the night quite literally partying in my pants.

The night ended and while the cloakroom scrambled about finding everyone’s clothes I prepared myself for the outside world and made my way back to my home for the night (with the bonus of getting half price pizza on the way… winner!)

Well done to thank you Judi and her team, it was a bloody brilliant night! If you can make it I highly recommend going down to check the next one out on the 31st March (full info can be found HERE.) Make sure you grab your ticket early though as it it’s guaranteed to sell out again! Till next time Brighton….
